Augmented Reality (AR) Apps

Augmented Reality is a great way to engage your students in a fascinating way.  Below is a small list of different AR apps along with links to their trigger images (if applicable).  These links are dedicated to iOS devices, but many of these great apps also have Android versions that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

To use, install the app onto your iOS device (some only work on iPads).  After installing, download and print the trigger image(s).  Some apps have multiple triggers depending on its capabilities and features.  Also, for some apps, the triggers are not available online as downloadables, but are part of the app itself.  By opening the app, there may be a command to have the triggers added to the camera roll of the device.  The triggers can then be printed from the camera roll (or e-mailed to a computer, then printed).  Apps such as DAQRI and Aurasma have triggers that must first be created or already exist in the world.

For the quickest way to download and install these apps, open this webpage on your iOS device.  Clicking the app icon should take you directly to app within the App Store.
