Spring break is behind us and now the task of getting back into the swing of things.  Hope your break was relaxing and rewarding.  Here a great statement I heard regarding interactive white boards (SMART and Promethean Boards):  “Simply being able to write on something with a pen does not equal interactivity…did that with an overhead.”  All too often, the interactive white board is being used as nothing more than a glorified overhead projector.  The board is meant to be interactive beyond the teacher touching the board to advance a PowerPoint presentation and writing notes on it like you would with a chalkboard.  If you have not been doing so, it’s time to get your students up to the board and working on it.  This will promote better learning for the students and classroom interactivity.  Ask me for assistance or visit the SMART Exchange or Promethean Planet for many premade lessons.

Microsoft HoloLens website

While genuine holograms are not quite home ready yet, the HoloLens brings us a step closer.  The HoloLens is not yet available for purchase, but just watching the promotional video, I could not find an end to the possible uses.  Taking a look at the video and think about the endless educational applications.  This device can take learning to a whole new level.
