Another fast and great week. We coming into the final stretch of the school year. This is a great time to pull out the great engaging projects. Students will continue their desire to learn when being actively engaged through the end of the school year. I will not be on campus next week. The CITS team will be working on INTERACT preparations. I will be back on campus starting May 11. I will still be in district and available. E-mail me if you need something and I will work to help the best I can during the week.

Last Day on Campus
My last official days on campus this year will be the week of May 18. Starting May 25, the CITS will be completing the final preparations for INTERACT, summer trainings, the T3 conference, and other end of the year activities. While not on campus, I will be available as time permits.
Introduction to Programming with Scratch – website
Scratch is a free, online, graphical programming language/learning environment that allows students to learn about computer programming and computational thinking without worrying about complicated syntax. It was created by the Lifelong Kindergarten Lab at the MIT Media Lab and is designed for students aged 8-18 but is used by programmers of a variety of age and experience levels. Previous programming experience is not a requirement for this course. See the above website for more information and registration.
Tech Tip – End of the Year
With the end of the year coming up, please keep in mind that in the coming weeks, you will want to make sure you are backing up documents that you may have been saving on the computer. There are several options for backing up your files. One of the best options would be your OneDrive for Business account. With OneDrive for Business, you can back up your files securely while still having access to them at school and at home. If you need assistance, let me know.
